Description

StudyPal aims to provide a platform for students at the University of Auckland to find study partners. Using this app, students with higher GPAs can register as tutors, while students struggling with a course can search for a tutor - their senior student - and seek help. A student in the app would be able to query a list of tutors who are able to teach a particular area of interest and make a final decision by viewing the tutor's profile and talking with them using the in-app chat system. The motivation for this app was from the external tutoring advertisements around the campus. We think it would be better to establish a tutor-seeking system among the students themselves, rather than relying on external education providers. In addition, it allows the students to meet new people on campus and make friends.
