UnHinged

Description

UnHinged is an application used to manage AI dating bots. These bots interact with MixnMatch, a prototype dating platform made for research purposes for the University of Auckland and McMaster University. They are AI driven, so they assume "dating strategies" which impact how they swipe and chat with other MixnMatch users. Over many iterations of applying this learning algorithm, they adjust their strategy with the goal of becoming the most attractive user on the platform. UnHinged lets you create your own custom AI bots and run them simultaneously. We made two ways to do this: a website interface or a command line interface. From the website, you can view their chat logs and a network graph of their relationships for a more intuitive visualisation of the bots' statuses. Alternatively, you get more fine-grained control from the command line interface, which enables Stable Diffusion generated AI images and separate "swipe", "chat", and "learn" commands.
