MaSH - Mass Spectrometry Hub

Mass spectrometry is a process that measures the mass-to-charge ratio of different molecules within a sample. This is important as the exact molecular weight of the molecules in the sample can be calculated. Mass spectrometry is used in areas such as drug testing, carbon dating and protein identification. In our case, we are focusing on protein identification. However, MaSH aims to bridge the gap between machine learning and mass spectrometry by automating this process using a tool called AdductHunter. The results using this tool shows fast and accurate identification. Alongside utilizing this tool within the site, we have also created a platform where researchers alike can share and collaborate on their findings through groups.
