Semester 2 2022 Web Development

Women in Computer Science

Description

This project aims to provide resources for prospective and current female students in the Computer Science program at the University of Auckland. The purpose is to ensure they feel supported by providing information for them to get help and opportunities to expand their skills. Lack of support and female representation in the School of Computer Science causes continuous underrepresentation of women studying Computer Science and working in STEM environments. Diversity is so important in the STEM workforce as it provides different perspectives and ultimately results in better outcomes. A more representative workforce also leads to more people getting their needs met. Women represent a significant portion of our population and deserve to be represented as such.
